Last nights BBC TV programme on “East Midlands Today” ( reporting on the subject of “Car Seat Belt wearing” .

The piece was filmed on the Burton Joyce/Lowdham Road , on the B J side of the Bulcote Cross Roads at a point between the “old, existing and filthy” 30MPH restricted speed sign and the “new clean interactive speed registering warning” sign sited at the Shaftsbury Avenue cross road with the new (apparently un-saleable) apartment block alongside

The reported result of wearing a car seat belt is the saving of at least one fatality every day of the year

The Old Bulcote Petrol Station (now only selling cars) was clearly recognisable with its plethora of vehicles on display alongside the road
